Think You're in Shape . . .?
It’s that time of year again —time to get in shape that is! Please come join us for the 2nd Annual Elk Grove Community Boot Camp. We are proposing to start Boot Camp June 1, if we have enough interest.
Boot Camp would run for 8-13 weeks, or longer if desired. We would meet Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. to accommodate work schedules. The camp would again be instructed by Jay Van Voast and entail a mix of cardio and strength exercises. All fitness levels are welcome. The cost of the class is FREE. Please note that Jay is not a certified trainer or fitness instructor; however, he has experience in physical fitness training from his service in the Marine Corps. This is meant to be an opportunity to encourage fitness at a convenient location.

"New Elk Grove Sign Now Has Power & Lights"
The new Elk Grove Sign at the Violet Rd & Hwy 191 entrance now has had the power installed. Having the lights installed was quite an undertaking. NW Energy could not do a power drop a the closest pole to the sign, so they had to move some 300' South to the next closest pole, and install a transformer for the drop. The power drop was done at no cost to the Association by NW Energy. Our seasonal staff then dug a 325' trench to lay the power cable. (quite a chore but was completed in one day) Many thanks to them as well as Tom at TJ Electric for installing all the needed electrical hookups! We'll be checking the lights to ensure they are bright enough to display the sign without being too bright.

"New roofs for Association Barn and Community House"
New roofs are being installed on the Association's barn and the Community House. The Board has received an excellent settlement offer from our insurance company for hail damage, and has contracted with Infinity Roofing to replace both the barn roof as well as the Community House roof (which was as old as the house), and a new roof for the carport. Work has started, and should be complete in the next few days. This will save the Association a lot of money as the roof on the community house was very old, and getting to the point of needing replacing soon.
